We all have a way of connecting. To something, or someone.
I’m not here to tell you which way is the right way. Because really, who am I to say? And who am I to really know?
Maybe your path is meditation. Maybe it’s prayer. Maybe it’s chanting, movement, nature, silence, ritual, or simply sitting still long enough to hear yourself again.
Maybe you believe in God. Maybe you call it the Universe. Maybe it’s Spirit, Source, something greater than yourself. Or maybe you don’t have a name for it at all.
And I actually think there’s something beautiful about that. Because perhaps spirituality was never meant to be about having all the answers. Perhaps it’s about learning to live with the questions.
What I do know is that, in one way or another, these practices can bring us back to the same place.
A little more stillness. A little more trust. A little more faith.
Not necessarily faith that everything will work out exactly how we want it to. But faith that we can meet whatever comes. Faith that we don’t have to control every outcome. Faith that there is something within us that knows how to keep going, even when we don’t yet know where we’re going.
And maybe that is what so many spiritual traditions have been pointing us towards all along.
Not a perfect life. Not a life without suffering. Not certainty.
But a deeper relationship with ourselves, with life, and perhaps with something greater than ourselves.
I used to think faith meant knowing. Now I think it might mean being willing to not know — and choosing to trust anyway. Maybe you don’t need to find the right path. Maybe you just need to find the one that brings you home to yourself.
